OBSESSED is an understatement. I love all of the author’s series and this might be my favorite! The slow burn love story? The retelling? AH. Amazing.

Can the God of War be humanized?

Thks box set is of the 3 Ares trials and let me. Just say I am so glad I read this one as a set. The story and characters were amazing and you find yourself. Rooting for them to over come all the bad and be together. The

Unfortunately, my first book of the year only got 2⭐️. The story lines between the first book of the series, The Hades Trials, and this one were just far too similar. The protagonist both are originally from Olympus but get sent to the mortal world and have no memories from their past, everyone refuses to tell them anything about their past, the main love interest is seen as savage and evil but you discover along the way he’s actually a sweet guy. It just seemed like I was reading the same story. It very much read like fan fiction of the first book. Also, this book seemed like it couldn’t decide if it was a sequel or a stand alone. While there was a ton of character overlap much time wasn’t dedicated to dealing with the repercussions of the first book. We were just told (instead of shown) a bunch of things had happened and just had to accept it. Some parts of the book dragged on and on (aka literally every actions sequence) while others were over far to quickly. This story does have a couple of spicy scenes but one of the happens in the middle of a task which just seemed very odd and took away from the story. Overall, I wasn’t a fan of this and I’m very unsure if I will pickup the next book in the series.
