imma be real. they were too nice to olivia i know shes going through it but i had it up to here by the end. shes still cute tho
praise first, fun book, interesting, deep and believable characters, there's some corny bits but it's a romance so that's a freebie in this genre, i love how different the lead characters voices are from one another and how strongly that comes through, olivia and toni chapters are night and day, supporting characters are well turned out and have their own charm
negatives are i found myself putting the book down a lot, it didn't feel urgent, i didn't feel pressed, for all the strength in their voice the characters don't linger with me, it felt a little like peter could have been replaced by a precocious labrador and the plot wouldn't have been affected, the end fell flat and it felt kind of rushed, the unreality of the book seeped in a few times where things were slightly too fantastical to work
i wanna say it's the kind of book i'd recommend to others but i think in reality because of it's weak resolution i'm going to forget it, and that's a shame

“I’ve been searching and searching and here with her is the first time I’ve ever felt found.”

Alas, not my fave - which was a bummer after how much I love You Should See Me In a Crown - but a lovely read for Pride weekend
This book felt like it wanted a lot and feel short on developing all the plot lines. It was very fast-pased almost to fast-pased to develop all of the storyline and connect with the characters.

I loved this book. As someone who enjoys going to concerts and music festivals this was right up my alley. I love Olivia. She’s cute and funny and clumsy and sporadic but that’s what makes her so charming. Toni on the other hand. She was hard to warm up to, but as she learned to let go so did I. The ending of this book is what you would see in the movies and I wanted to be right there with them. I think what would have made this book even better if there was a playlist that we could listen to while reading. I mean the story does take place at a music festival. This book is cute. It’s a light hearted read that you’ll enjoy. I know I sure did.
