Too long and dragging; just didn’t love the drama and it felt like there was way too much going on. I’m sorry; I wanted to like it
This was a great book, I thought it was going to be cheesy but it was very heartfelt and sweet. Listened to the audiobook and really liked how they used two different actresses.
This book was so much fun to read; it definitely transported me to my younger days of weekend-long music festivals in open pastures. The diverse cast of characters are so relatable for many reasons, instantly pulling readers into the story because we truly care about what happens. I love the healing power of music and best friends; both of which are well portrayed in this book.
I enjoyed this book, though not as much as Johnson's first book (which I loved). One of the main characters is pretty annoying though and it's obvious she's rather self-absorbed and doesn't treat her best friend very well as a result. Which is a realistic character flaw (especially for a teenager, who is still learning how to treat people), but a bit frustrating to read because it's (maybe too) obvious and she is clueless. Otherwise, I liked this book though and enjoyed the complexities of the characters and their lives.
I found this one really hard to get into, the story was good and i liked the themes there was just something that I struggled with when reading it.
3.5
there was a bit too much going on in this book and the pacing was all over the place but it IS undeniable that leah johnson is fully out there giving us the purest and softest wlw romances

Enjoyed the story and characters. It seemed rushed at times but it was a 3 day festival so things are going to happen fast.
