Once again the banter in this book is on point. I laughed so much reading this one. I loved the inclusion of the kids and they even added some humor to the story. This one is cute and steamy just like the first book. I also love the inclusion of the couple from the first book. I did feel like the ending was a bit rushed but overall another great addition to this series.

I loved our heroine and seeing how this book's hero interacted with the previous book's hero was wonderful.

Again from this author, another great fmc - smart, strong, funny. But this book was a slog for me. I’m all for a man so hurt he doesn’t believe he deserves to be loved but come on. He was irritating for most of this book. Honestly Alex deserved better. I really liked Rosamund and Daisy though, I’d have liked a lot more of them, especially their interactions with Alex. Thinking now, we didn’t actually get that much of them together, like the beginnings of Alex as their governess and their pirate lesson was really enjoyable but way too short lived. So one star awarded for the girls, and one for the strange but hilarious daily funerals for Millicent. This was the only moments I liked Chase, he really shone there.
