This book is listed as first in a series but doesn't read that way. I kept waiting for explanations, plot, or even some smut....but there was just nothing. Utterly boring with tiny hints of PG-13 spice.
Oh My That ending
This was my first book by this author and the twists had me dying. Then ending was fantastic and what we found out had me jumping up and down I can not wait to read more ! I love why choose romances and mafia but I love even more that it’s about Maddie discovering what she really wants which is a why choose!

This book is Maddies story, the book starts off introducing us to the men who will eventually be with Maddie. This is a mafia story so it had some drama. I liked it but I struggled to get into it. It was very slow and I got a bit confused with what I think were references to a different series. I won’t be continuing this series
Firstly, I didn’t realize that this was a shared world with the author’s other series. This book/series can be read separately but I think reading the first one would be beneficial. After reading this book, now I want to read the first series. There’s some references but I don’t think it makes a big difference.
This book started off a bit slow as we are introduced to the characters. I like the little bit of mystery of who exactly the men were and how they were connected. Some were a little obvious, some not so much. I did like the ending because it was kind of like two cliffhangers into one. Pretty creative.
While there’s some events that I believe connected to the other series, this book has it’s own conflicts and drama. There are also a few crossovers/mentions in what I’m going to assume the third series will be about. I like how these are interconnected and give you just a little bit of a tease. Now I know I’ll be stuck reading all of the books.

I think I said, out loud, WTF at least 18 times in the first half of this book but once I got past that part it was epic. I don’t know how many times I can tell YES! at a book! Can’t wait to read the rest!

Okey at the beginning of the book i was like I don’t know where this story is really headed everything was really confusing like what is this happening or whats the reason behind this but after few chapters it started to get me and holy moly i am in love with it. The cliff hanger, the plot twist in between loved it! The line “I swear to God, Madison, you better be okay when I get there or I’m
going to burn the city down in retribution.” Gave me the hots. Definitely a must read!
