"Better than the movies" follows the story of Liz, a teenager who loves rom-coms and is going to try to get her own movie-like romantic adventure with her childhood crush. In the process, she will discover life is not like the movies, sometimes it'll be even better.

The book was cute, predictable like most of those in this genre, but I liked it nonetheless. I appreciated the movie quotes in each chapter, and the music references that described the mood according to Liz.

Omg this was the cutest book I ever read in my live. The ending had me crying my eyes out for real!!!

THIS MADE ME SCREAM I loved this book so much, it left a warm feeling in my body ❤️

She was unbearable most of the time, a bad friend and unnecessarily mean to her stepmother, boy obsessed and overall just a caricature of a teenage girl.
