We meet Jesus, and then Hilltop. It starts off great... but then we hear about Negan.

Definitely a good installment and an introduction to a new era!
And Jesus!

I love Jesus. A great new character was introduced to us and I'm really interested in his story. Let's see, what's going to happen.

Also, the world of the survivors just got so much bigger. I am actually scared how it will all turn out. I mean, especially after the introduction of a certain character (or two, if you will) in the next volume.

HEY GUYS GUESS WHO

IS FINALLY INTRODUCED

IN THIS VOLUME?

YES IT IS JESUS YOU ARE CORRECT!!!

Finally, my main squeeze in the show makes an appearance in the graphic novels.

The group finally realizes that their canned goods are beginning to be past expiration dates and their food is becoming less and less. So when Jesus pops up asking to start a trade between their two groups, Rick isn't jumping up in down, even though he sees the potential in trading with groups. He can't help but think about past groups (like maybe Woodury). Can you blame him?

Oh also, we learn about the biggest bad out there:

A great, psychologically tense volume. Also, anybody else pick up bits of Watership Down?

Meh. This one is up and down for me. It has hints of a really good story, but also suffers from too much we've-seen-this-before.

I felt going into this volume that I was pretty much done w/ this series but having finished this volume I'm definitely intrigued to see where this whole thing is going. this was another volume that was setting up a lot of stuff for the future and as a piece of story it wasn't the best but it has piqued my interest. even if the speech at the end was hella lame. I'm super conflicted about this series on the whole b/c I don't genuinely like or care for these characters and more often than not I'm bored w/ most of what occurs but something keeps pushing me forward to read more. this volume very much epitomized that.

I very much so agree with the review calling this volume "A Bug,s Life", but with zombies. Finally a bit of hope for our favorite band of survivors and their futures. This one set up what should be an exciting next volume to the story.

This volume marks a new direction in the story.

Rick and the other survivors learn about other communities around them.

Jesus, one of my favourite character from TWD, is introduced here.

Kirkman is building the foundations of something big. This is the first step in the road that will lead to Negan.
