The survivors of Alexandria encounter a mysterious person that claims to belong to another community. Eventually they will find that their world is more complicated and will be introduced to the other group of survivors.
Excited to finally start watching the community story line play out. Also, Jesus is awesome.
The fail proof safety and alarm system that Rick talked about in the last book was implemented. Things are going well but they are running low on food and supplies and need to come up with plan to replenish food. They are contacted by a guy named Jesus who tells them that they are not the only surviving group. There are larger groups out there. He invites them to be in a trade partnership. But there is one problem with this large group – they are giving half of food supplies to a wild group just so that they won’t attack them. Rick takes up the responsibility to take on this group. So we can expect some awesome action in the next book.
This was scary... Everyone were way too happy. So everyone's going to probably die in the next volume?
Better than the last, for sure, but I feel like they're setting up for a bit of a Seven Samurai type deal that I don't totally buy with Rick and his crew. Though I liked that they were finally adding something new into the mix.

A new potential threat has appeared.
A man nicknamed Jesus has come offering trade between Rick’s community and a few others and naturally, Rick is very suspicious of this. Given what happened last time they met a big group, that makes sense.
They finally decide to go to Hilltop and see if they can trust it.
I don’t want to say too much more because it might spoil things but this was another 4*. I think the story is less exciting now that there are established communities and the initial panic of the zombies has worn off? I don’t know. It was my goal to get all of these read by the end of the summer holidays so I’m going to keep reading them until they’re done haha.
