This story was so amazing. And experiencing through Trevor’s audiobook made it so much better! I never would have thought I would have enjoyed an audiobook more but this is my favorite audiobook and memoir. A definite recommendation for anyone who asks me what my favorite book is of this year.

Did i read this book cause i knew Trevor Noah? No, in fact, it's quite the opposite. I was searching for another book in a group when i accidentally stumbled upon this one. I found the title really interesting, so searched it on google and the rating was really high. So I downloaded it and that's on of the best decisions of 2019.
Forget about the story, Trevor Noah and everything, the writing? The writing is sooooo magical and beautiful. I wonder, why haven't yet thought of writing fiction seriously!
I fell in love with Patricia, a single mother, who raised her son right. I fell in love with Trevor Noah who being born in the time of apartheid in South Africa, being the product of apartheid, achieved everything he was not supposed to achieve. This book is so special. So beautiful that at times it hurt. It hurt knowing, even the strongest of us sometimes can't stand against crime and still life is beautiful. It hurt knowing, even if you love someone with all you have, how insignificant we are at times. But it also taught me to dream, to learn, to think, to question and to be whatever i want to be. ❤
