Was this a “good” book, not necessarily. The characters were underdeveloped, it had no business being almost 400 pages, and the writing was bland, apart from the jokes. But, this book does depict a teenage girl’s mental health in a way that was incredibly relatable to me, bringing me to literal tears. This may not be the book for everyone, but it sure was eye opening, knowing i’m not alone.
Graphic: Mental illness
Moderate: Bullying

- There's a few comments about only women getting periods and men never having them which felt a bit ignorant towards trans people.
- Also i felt the whole thing with Kats mental health wasnt done in the greatest way because she was really struggling then she sends herdad a text and says she cant go to school and the next day she has a talk with her parents, goes to the doctors the same day, her parents decide to go private for therapy, she speaks with her friends after she was at the doctors and suddenly everythungs light and breezy again all before her first therapy session.
- overall though this is quite a lighthearted book and i had fun reading it.
