This book stars Kat. She is 15 years old and a student in England. The book is told in the first person in diary entries by Kat. As the title of the book indicates, she wants to be good feminist. But she feels she falls short. She is struggling with her view of herself. She is badly bullied by a group of girls. She has some issues with her friends. Kat, her friends, and her family members are all appealing. Some people are concerned that a lot of YA novels are aimed at older audiences. This book is a true YA novel. It is aimed at a mid-teen audience. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to read a true YA novel with an appealing heroine that talks about the real issues a teen girl struggles with.
