I thought I knew what this book was about, then after the plot twist, it turned out to be something else. All I have to say is: what the fuck was that? Adam, come get your man, please. Also, did anyone else keep reading sweetmetal as "sweetmeal"?

appreciate the person living in boston with ibs who takes too many tums to self medicate representation

this whole book felt like a dream but for obvious reasons and then the deeper you get into it the more it’s like oh shit that’s why

ronan has really never been as dull or annoying to read before this book imo. i get he’s going through stuff but he’s been making dumb decisions for 6 books atp.. u can’t help but root for him but jfc. declan (has ibs) and matthew (silly) were a lot more interesting. jordan is great and hennessy is too and the irish girl (i forget if she’s actually irish) was a lot more likable

the ending was great. so great. it pulled together everything the story had been leading up to so greatly

My god was this book painful to read. I just can’t comprehend what all happened and I’m so sad for my favorite characters :( Ronan really never gets a break does he. If i were to rate this on my happiness level it would get a 2 stars lol, but mostly because this book just felt so realistic and the reality of that was hard to face for me. Overall I think the third book will end things nicely but im sad I have to wait another whole year. Welp, I’ll just be re reading all the happy parts of the raven cycle again haha.

While the writing itself is as lovely and sharp as ever, and the Lynch brothers and Jordan provide a really fun story with plenty of chaos, the plot drags its feet and feels like a LOT of filler. I think "Mister Impossible" definitely is lacking of the same luster and excitement its predecessor had, mostly because 80% of the novel feels like the directors cut of "Call Down the Hawk". There was quite a bit that was frustrating to read (characters being introduced and then immediately killed off), or came out of nowhere (Farooq x Lilliana?!). Personally, I found the plotline of the sweet metals and their creation the most interesting aspect, but even the explanation/answers for that came so late in the book I felt like a lot of time had been wasted at that point.
I'm still definitely going to read the third and final book when it comes out, but I'm desperately hoping for more fresh material and less rehashing/restating of what we already know.

brain on fire. Mstief free me from your hold I finished this in mere hours....there were close to no lull points I was always within the story. More Declan POVs is my only request.
