I’m still not a fan of Megumi but I like that this volume gave more insight to her as a character. I’ll be interested in seeing if she changes in the next few volumes.

After seeing how all the other characters so far had their problems solved in a more objective way, it really felt like Megumi still have some things left unresolved and, considering that this entire volume was pretty much all about her (with short glimpses of the Mei/Yamato relationship that didn't really seem to go anywhere), I was expecting to see a bit more initiative in regards to the character, which never happened. Because I don't find Megumi a particularly interesting character like Aiko was, vol. 7 seemed to move very, VERY slow.

By this point of the story, while I still really like Mei as a main character, I'm curious to see what else the story has for me and to see a bit more of her relationship with her friends (and potential new friends).

On a side note, once again, I really like how Kanae-san talks about bully and how to go through that part in your life. This is the manga series I wish I had read when I was 15 ~ 17 years old.

Glad to see Megumi change her perspective on life! One thing I like about this series is the discussion about serious and realistic topics teenagers face (and not sugarcoating things). A minor complaint, but it’s hard to tell which character is which sometimes, especially with Megumi and Mei.

For some reason I just really didn't care for this volume. In fact, the only chapter that I enjoyed was the one themed around the festival, and getting to see Mei look absolutely stunning in her yukata. Otherwise I just felt so bored reading everything. Hopefully volume 8 will pick up a bit.
