I am completely in love with this series! There's a little bit of everything going on in Alvarado, Texas. Clint has spent the last 5 years in prison for beating Sam half to death. Ricky is recovering from a brutal attack if his own at the hands of gay-bashers, unsure if he'll ever walk again. At first, there's an animosity and uncertainty, and the prerequisite big misunderstanding. A little angst to make me happy, some hot smexing, and small town drama topped off with laughs and fun. I am excited about the next book!

Maybe his parents "abandoned" him for being gay (apparently that is a worse sin than misdirecting you anger and confusion for some people
