such a beautiful book honestly, i really enjoyed how it explored the different family dynamics and just how complex family is in general. zomi realizing at the end that her baba won’t ever really except her and she just has to, except her love as-is was such a sad moment tbh, i relate to it alot & it made me really sad. this book was so brilliant honestly like, im kinda crying honestly. what a brilliant book ugh my heart

I thought the main character was a bit of an asshole and I really couldn't get behind how poorly she was treating the people around her, and the way the book villanized a autistic coded character for the sake of the MCs plot/character progression.

This book was kind of all over the place with the main character making some really awful decisions
But then I had to remind myself that they are literally teenagers and I also made a lot of really dumb decisions as a teenager

I really enjoyed this one! The representation alone is a phenomenal reason so read this book! This is absolutely adorable but also so realistic it actually hurts in some places. Yes the main character is bit to much of unrealistic romantic for me but I also know a lot of people who are like that so while it's not something I can relate to I know many other will. This was just fantastic and adorable and my tiny lesbian heart is so happy.
