Das ist die langweiligste Schullektüre, die ich bisher gelesen habe. Es ist albern, überzogen und sehr deskriptiv geschrieben. Es gibt keine stringente Handlung, die Charaktere sind oberflächlich und unsympathisch.

I still sort of remember watching the film as "Eastie Boys" in Prague, I think in German with Czech subtitles. I enjoyed that, and the book as well. I should write something clever about the transcendence of nostalgia for our childhoods - but I'm not going to.

It was a really nicely told story :) sometimes there were time jumps or fast jumps in general, would have been a bit nicer if they had been longer /had been written more detailled. I would have loved if it was a bit longer, but still it was nice, a quick read. I liked how most things tied together in the end (the love letter, the uncle and so on) and in the end i had to smile, i cried little happy tears, was touched and almost cried again and then i had to laugh. It was just a really nice ending and.

There was an unappropiate language on certain points, homophobic and racist slurrs, didnt enjoy that part.
