Where Bast vaguely sleeps with a lotta women and helps out some youngsters in the village.

Fantastic short story read about a day in the life of Bast! I read this after finished The Name of the Wind and a Wise Man’s Fear. I enjoyed the insight it gave into how Bast thinks, what he does each day, and the way he views the world. I found his personality to be fun with a balance of good and mischievous thoughts as he goes about his daily activities. I think this is a great accompaniment to the Kingkiller Chronicle and would love to read more about Bast’s adventures from his time in the Fae.
With less than 60 pages, this short story get a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars and is worth the read.

It's a short story relating one day's of Bast "work". It is an intriguing story and the stile is wonderful as always with Patrick Rothfuss. I don't give it five stars because it is too short to really captivate the reader. However, if you are looking for a tale to read in one day (or maybe two), this is definitively a five stars one.

One of my favorite parts of the Kingkiller chronicles is the frame story with Bast, so delving into this time period was fascinating and almost relaxing. It was nice to be more present in the story and to learn more about the fae and the superstitions in the village. I really enjoyed this
