I should really stop reading these books. They aren’t good. I should save myself the time and just read the summaries.

I struggled to finish this one... It's not that it's bad so much as it just kept putting me to sleep. The plot is intriguing (where did we come from, where are we going) but I really missed the 'scavenger hunt' type story lines of Langdon's earlier adventures -- the thrill was totally missing from this one.

While I'm used to the "Dan Brown formula", I found myself mentally screaming at the book: "Stop explaining I guessed that big reveal pages ago!"

I spent the last half of the book saying to myself I know who the "regent" is. I know why THAT happened. It's so obvious.

If you are a devout believer in Dan Brown - well you're probably already reading your copy. If this is the first Brown book you've picked up -put it down. There are better books under his name than this one.

Deducted one full star because, almost too many lines and dare I say pages were devoted to very detailed description of so many monuments, they broke the momentum quite a few times. But otherwise this book blew my mind! It was insane what I read. This book also marks my first Dan Brown read ever, I'm glad it was a physical book i owned. I absolutely loved how it talked about art and artists in length, two of my very favourite subjects, which led me to Google a lot and find even more interesting stuff on YouTube and articles that I have bookmarked. This book really made me want to go back in time and read as many old authors and explore as many old artists, as old as the 1800s. The story telling, the ending, the narration everything was wonderful.
