I was admittedly nervous to start this one as I tend to be dissatisfied with how men write female protagonists, but Taylor Adams walked the line very respectfully (no “her breasts bounced breastily as she ran down the steps” to be found, thank goodness!). This book gripped me from page 1 to the end, to the point I devoured the last half of the book in one sitting.

The splitting of POV’s isn’t for everyone, but it sure is for me. The timing of switching POV perfectly kept me on the edge of my seat and with bated breath. Cheesy, but I’m not kidding, I was honestly holding my breath at sections of this book.

I had originally been searching for Taylor’s “No Exit” and am more determined to read it after finishing “Hairpin Bridge”.

Definitely a page turner. I didn't love how the whole thing took place only within a few hours with interspersed flashbacks.

This one let me down :( After reading No Exit by this author I had really high hopes and went into this one blind. It had potential but I don't feel that it was well executed. It felt repetitive and drawn out, I did not want to dnf so I kept reading to the end but not satisfied with how it played out.

Probably would have been a solid 3 star read. Very outlandish but entertaining. Had to give it two starts because of the animal death :((( I know it was the bad guy’s animal but still. Seemed unnecessary to me. I did like the Montana setting, though most of the places seemed to be made up

I’ll give Taylor Adams another shot, but this was a huge miss for me. Very anticlimactic
