A true-to-life feel of Milwaukee through the eyes of these cousins who are visiting. A cute picture book with authentic illustrations full of special details locals will pick up on, even if the text is a bit awkward at times. The start of a new series, I'll be interested to see what cities Lulu & Rocky visit next.

This is definitely a niche book, but thankfully it's not one that's sloppy or just a cash grab. The rhyme is cute and the illustrations are excellent. I wish it wasn't just a downtown Milwaukee book, but I think adding more would have made it feel cluttered. There are lots of visual Easter eggs for locals, but it's not so inside baseball that someone who is new to the city would be completely lost.
