If blue b#lls was a book series the Kindred series is that to me. Jokes aside I do enjoy Diem's world. I love the thoughts, politics and complexitie behind this world and the plot of this book. I loved Diem in the first book and although I love her complexity of emotions through this book it felt like it fell short. She was constantly pitting unnecessary blame on

. Constantly to the point it just became annoying. The burn could literally not be any slower. I also felt Diem was just constantly making such silly choices it was honestly annoying and frustrating. The plot kept me turning the pages despite my new feelings towards Diem. I did enjoy the book despite my feelings and my need to know the secrets has me wanting to continue the series but alas undecided if I'll see this series through.

I LOVED this book. Diem’s wistful ignorance/denial of facts sometimes bugged me as a plot device to just have miscommunication - cuz she is so observant or smart otherwise - but I really loved the expansion of world building! It felt perfectly paced too. Can’t wait to read Heat!

This book was so gripping and exciting! I loved it just as much as the first book. It was so fun and unique, amazing world building and character development! The plot was so entertaining and when I wasn’t reading, all I could think about was how much time I had left until I could go and read more of this book 😍 

These Main characters are so special to me, and I love them so so much! Diem is such a brilliant, badass, intelligent and strong FMC and I adore her so much! Luther is just green flags left, right, and centre (and totally swoon worthy) and I’m obsessed with him! 

The ending had me GASPING and I need to read the next book asap! 🫣😭
