Totally loving this series! The tension definitely cranked up in this installment and kept me on my toes. I kinda wish Diem had made one decision quicker than she did, but overall I loved everything about this book.

This book had me wayyy too stressed!! The tension is so much, and my heart was just racing the entire time.

Henri is literally the worst character in this entire series, and I can't stand how naive Diem can be. Luther is literally everything... ugh!! If these characters do not find happiness, I do not know what to do.

This next book better be amazing or I will lose it

This series is ticking my fantasy boxes, and I'm having a great time! Book #2 is a great sequel, moving the central conflict forward, answering important questions, and asking new ones. The development of Diem's relationships with the Descended and her mortal friends and family was fantastic, their conflicts realistic and the court scheming so juicy. Love it.
