This book is based on talks given by J Krishnamurti. There is a lot of depth and it is very thought provoking.
I found all the topics to be interesting and J Krishnamurti's articulation is excellent. These include - Finding yourself, individual experience, putting aside old knowledge, Awareness, Joy vs Pleasure, Fear, Love & Meditation.
J Krishnamurti implored seekers to experience the truth for themselves rather than just go with what authority tells us - be it organized religion or government. I find his thoughts to be deep, provoking introspection.
Strongly recommended.

Freedom From The Known or to be liberated from our petty conditioning in this spiritually sick world (to such an extent we do not even realize): that is what is at stake. Even though the words of the great philosopher, speaker and writer Jiddu Krishnamurti may seem simple, they bring forward a quite radical philosophy to process and adhere to. Admittedly, it seems extraordinarily – as in ‘superhumanly’ – hard to practise in which meditation seems the key to unlock one’s own strength to create change within oneself. Definitely to be read and reread slowly (pausing, absorbing, rationalising, accepting or not) to have it grow on you… and efficiently arm oneself against society’s nonsense.
JK has been a pathbreaking thinker, philosopher and a modern-day global guru for many, although he may not agree with it.
I have been immensely influenced/attracted and amazed by his thoughts and words.
His overall philosophy — on matters related to consciousness, meditation, spirituality, pleasure, beauty, sex, love, relationship, death, fear, religion, politics, human psychology, violence and whatnot — is uncomplicated, universal and unique.
JK stands apart from other thinkers because he doesn't associate himself with any religion, spiritual leaning, caste, etc.
His vision of the world was one of boundaryless and borderless mass of land. That's why he was deeply concerned with wars, violence and human loss; he talked in elaborate about politics, power and problems related to it in many of his lectures in world forums.
You many not agree with his philosophy and need not be his follower. That's what he has said from the beginning. Instead, JK tells to think for yourself and get out of the clutches of our programmed life with set of rules and regulations.
Unless you change by understanding yourself, there will be no societal or global changes you can expect, he said in all his conversations with conviction.
It is never late to find "freedom from the known".

I am not going to review this book as I am still understanding and reassessing my entire thought process. All I can say, this book will shake you to the core if you are ready to unlearn and accept it as it is.
This book has influenced me so much and has a soothing effect on me.
