Questa raccolta di poesie della Dickinson è un’eccezionale esempio di quanto l’animo più sensibile possa comprendere ed esprimere lo struggimento per la solitudine, il senso della mancanza ma anche l’avvicinarsi alla ricerca della fede e di un rapporto sincero con Dio.
Opera bellissima e consigliatissima non solo agli amanti del genere ma ad ogni lettore.

Mucho se ha dicho de la poesía impresionante de Emily, así que no voy a intentar agregar más. Diré que me gustaría tanto poder ver cómo y en qué momentos del día escribía, si se encerraba, si miraba por la ventana o si escribía afuera entre la naturaleza, si se arrepentía y botaba algunos. Me gustaría saber tanto. Haber sido una vecina, su hermana, que fue la que encontró el tesoro de sus poemas, todos ordenados y encuadernados cuidadosamente, aguardando ser descubiertos. Emily, ojalá hacerte llegar un mensaje, que supieras que tu poesía diaria en la soledad amable de tu casa me estremeció y es hermosa, hermosa. Pero siento que siempre lo supiste. Graciasgracias por tan tierno e inagotable legado.
