It‘s been many many years since I read the Harry Potter books. Rereading them all in 2024. And will read it from the illustrated versions (at least up until the 5th book, bc the 6th and 7th do not have an illustrated version yet)
A few thoughts from this one:
- It‘s interesting that a lot is happening in just a few paragraphs. Some scenes that I remembered to be a lot longer (maybe also from watching the movies so many times) are super short.
- I love that the centaurs have a much bigger role in the books.
- the illustrated version is such a beauty. So many amazing details.

OMYGOSH. I don't even know what to say. It's too beautiful. <3 I already know what'll happen because I've watched the movie years ago, but puh-lease, this book is too amazing. Far amazing than anything. So magical and fascinating. I love it. <3 And I've got to admit, I appreciate the movie adaption so much because it is very much like the book. Well done!
This would be the first book wherein I watched the movie first then read the book years later. And I didn't know it was really awesome (or maybe just this case?). The book was depicted very well in the movie. All the characters' faces and the different settings are the same in my head and in the movie. It's just so adorable for me. Every time a new character will be introduced I'll be shouting his/her name. Hahaha. This is a very very fun read for me.
How I felt reading the book was just so awesome. It's wonderful. I felt like I'm that little kid again watching Harry Potter movies and wishing I was one of them doing magic and fighting trolls. I planned to read this years before but chose not to because I told myself I've already watched the movies and know what'll happen. But boy was I wrong, I should have read this so long ago. Tsktsk. So to all those people who haven't read this please do read it because, because it is HARRY POTTER.
Wow just wow. 5 stars baby! <3

I rated this series as soon as I create an account on Goodreads; I had no idea what to do back then. So yeah, I'm going to do a quick review here.
I read Sorcerer's Stone back when I was in junior high. I think I was 14 years old. I was charmed right away and begged to buy the continuation. I think, even to this day, Harry Potter is the best adventure novels ever.

It's been over ten years since I've first read this, but a trip to Universal Studios inspired me again. I love it when I can recall the main events of a story but discover the little events and details all over again. It was the same with this book. It's hard to properly write a review when nostalgia really hit me over the head over and over again. I'll say that I still love the humor of the books "Hagrid what's the difference between a stalagmite and a stalactite?" "Stalagmite's got an 'm' in it." Love it!
On the other hand I don't remember Hermione being quite as whiny or damsel-in-distressy but maybe that'll balance out as the books go on.
Overall, it was a good read and I rediscovered why I devoured it when I was a child.

Harry’s a wizard, went to school and made friends, a mirror shows him that he isn’t a sociopath. Also, Snape is a bad guy.
