not a whole lot happens in this book with how much exposition is required but it sets the series up really nicely. it’s a shame rowling is looney

-1 for the guilt i felt enjoying the nostalgia of this reread because of the foul vibe of the author
Fancied a re-resd after watching the films again. While it was good to read I don't feel inspired to read the rest of the series again, though not saying never. Have they not aged well? Do I just prefer how things happen in the films? It is good to get some more detail they can't put in the film.
It‘s been many many years since I read the Harry Potter books. Rereading them all in 2024. And will read it from the illustrated versions (at least up until the 5th book, bc the 6th and 7th do not have an illustrated version yet)
A few thoughts from this one:
- It‘s interesting that a lot is happening in just a few paragraphs. Some scenes that I remembered to be a lot longer (maybe also from watching the movies so many times) are super short.
- I love that the centaurs have a much bigger role in the books.
- the illustrated version is such a beauty. So many amazing details.
