I liked this first book in the series. Found it a bit unbelievable ehat happened on page 259, like, no, that character would never forget that. This book had alot of worldbuilding to to, and is the start of an iconic series in alot of peoples childhoods
Still as enjoyable as the first time I read it back in those long Summer nights of '99. This book was the only good thing I had to look forward once the day was finally done, after a long day working through the summer holidays.

Vu que j'ai lu ce livre en français, je vais essayer de donner mon avis en français aussi!
Quand j'étais petit, je détestais absolument lire. Après avoir vu Harry Potter et la coupe de feu, c'était impossible pour moi d'attendre 2 ans pour savoir le chapitre suivant dans cette série.
Donc j'ai fait ce que j'ai toujours détesté: j'ai lu un livre. Et c'était magnifique, du début jusqu'à la fin, j'adorais ce livre.
Donc Harry Potter m'a aidé et beaucoup d'autres gens à aimer lire des livres. Grâce à ça, et la nostalgie, c'est impossible pour moi de pas donner un score parfait.
C'était pas facile pour moi de lire ce livre en français, mais vu que je connais l'histoire par cœur, j'ai tout compris!

I've reread the HP series almost every year of my life and I loved them as a child and I literally waited for a hogwarts letter and I love that world and the books and (most of) the message and because of this I always thought JK Rowling was cool because she wrote these cool books but she sucks and she's ruining this magical series for me so I shall simply pretend someone else wrote them!!!!
