Not as great as I remember it being, but that first read was 38 years ago, and this series began my lifelong love of fantasy, so it will always have a place on my bookshelf.

A pretty bad book made even worse by the dumbest decision ever made by a character in a book.
There is no way that Laurana would have decided to go out to meet Kit. Logistically it also would have been impossible.

A re-read, although by the end I was beginning to wonder if I had finished this book the first time, I didn't remember the ending. I am glad I read this trilogy again.

This book was an exciting conclusion to the trilogy! I was guessing at the resolution all the way up until the very end! Lots of twists and turns and exciting revelations. Prepare for an emotional journey with this story as we come towards the end.
