Outdated. Overrated. Full of fluff.

I actually feel like I learned a lot listening to this audiobook. For those interested on a personal level, I would mention that much of the focus of this is on organizations. Much more than in The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, this book works on moving individuals and organizations into a knowledge-worker oriented model. Covey focuses on this new model of a workforce that does not treat employees as expenses or things, but rather deals with the whole person and enabling the individual to give their full potential to their work.

There are aspects of this book that are personal. I also feel that Covey has a good perspective on the drives of human personalities. Overall, worth the read.

As he so masterfully did in his best seller 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Dr. Covey teaches us how to take out lives to yet another level! From effectiveness to greatness, we can accomplish anything.

A great follow up book to the seven habits. Covey communicated the material far better in this book. A really great personal development book. When first starting to read the material i did not think i had the ability to understand this type of book thinking it was beyond me. However the more i study the material and try to understand i find my potential growing. Really greatful to have developed the personal development bug now.

I did not finish this entire book. But I do really like his emphasis on compassion, empathy, and win win. In particular he makes coins from the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which where were you earlier, and also lots of quotes from other writers and figures. I will admit that when he reminds us again and again to avoid to lose- win as a martyrizing proposition that I feel a twinge of guilt.

Not as good as expected, or maybe it's the fact that I'm currently not engaged in any teamwork, that it doesn't feel like the right time to read and apply anything from the book. Many parts of the book are alike & repetitive.
