It's Christmas time and Calla & Jonah are hosting in their beautiful Alaskan home. She's put the finishing touches on their guest cabin and is ready for their guests...or as ready as she can be. Her mother and stepfather along with Jonah's mom and [loathed] stepfather are flying in as are Calla & Jonah's beloved friends Agnes & Mabel. Now, if Calla can just keep everyone happy, avoid arguments about their wedding plans, and get her curmudgeonly neighbor Roy to accept their Christmas dinner invitation, it will be the best Christmas ever. Piece of cake, right?!
Christmas at Trapper's Crossing with Calla & Co. is entertaining to say the least. I loved the first two books in this series so coming back for a novella was a treat. Seeing Calla & Jonah settled in to a life together - having navigated the hardships in the first books - was lovely as was seeing all their family come together. It would have been fun to have had a longer book, but it was a fun bridge between Calla's story and Marie's in the next book.

I adored this novella! It had me craving more and wishing that there was more to Calla and Jonah's story. I felt like the ending was a bit rushed and could have benefited from a few more chapters. There was a great balance between domestic relationships, family reunion with some drama and Calla and Jonah's relationship. The relationships with Calla and the secondary characters are a large reason why I enjoy these novels. The secondary characters are a perfect balance of entertaining and wholesome chaos that compliment the story.
