There's more depth to this story than two people bonding over their shared misery after a plane crash. Troy and Brian learned to lean on each other during these bleak days that seem to go on forever.
Like Brian, I was surprised how down to earth the popstar was, and how Troy rolled his sleeves up and got to work the first few days when Brian was suffering from a nasty concussion.
When they toiled side by side to build their shelter, it was adorable how they strived to make the best out of a shitty situation.
The usually reclusive Brian became drawn to Troy's optimism like a moth to a flame. Even though all hope seems lost of them being rescued, there's still a flicker that keeps them alive and trying.
Over the course of the months stranded at shore, Brian and Troy opened up to each other about their past, their fears and ongoing struggles. It was beautiful to see two men who are unlikely matched, to be so in tune to each other's needs.
I liked the slow burn pace of their burgeoning feelings for each other, and I also liked the Asian rep.

Even though I knew how it was going to end because I've read this author's books before so I knew that the ending wasn't going to be bad I still had a pit in my stomach. I was so tense by page 180 that I started skimming the following chapters to figure out exactly when
I don't really have anything to say about this because I have no negative thoughts at all. I really love that there's a Filipino MC because I've never read a book with a Filipino mc before. I appreciate that the age gap wasn't a plot point whatsoever. I really really love when it is a point of contention but it was just nice that because there were so many other things going on the age gap wasn't a problem.
Troy and Brian are sweet and i really believe that their relationship can continue off the island because I felt like it wasn't just trauma bonding. I really like that Brian got a job as a
