Bless the Type 4 child,
scalp massaged with the milk of cruelty, cranium cursed, crushed between adult knees, drenched in pink lotion.

Not me having my scalp snatched by the very first poem.

this collection is much stronger than Teaching My Mother To Give Birth; there’s a really poignant, mournful beauty to her work that has deepened and shines through here. while this style of line breaks isn’t my favorite, i think shire is one of the best doing it.
