This is tied as my new favorite book. I’m not even kidding I couldn’t put this down. I ditched work to read this and it was absolutely worth it. If you like The Princess Bride, BBC’s Merlin, and cozy vibes in general, this book is for you. I love all the characters so so much and can’t wait to read the next book!

Writing style is grating (using the red haired man, taller man etc instead of just using names), plot is quite predictable but I did enjoy the ride

Simply pausing to focus on the many other books I'm concurrently reading.

I read the first half in one setting and was enjoying it but I was having a hard time getting back into after putting it down.

The House Witch #1 Book Review

Just from starting the first chapter of this book, I already knew that I would love this series. Each character's individuality and the slight humor that peaks through further into the book, is what truly made this book a fun read!! I’m super glad I didn’t pay attention to the previous reviews for this book or else I might have been swayed to not read it.

I’m starting to learn quickly that not everyone will enjoy a book the same way you will. Though I wasn’t verbally laughing out loud while reading this book, I was able to pick up on the small parts of humor. It would give me a good smile that could last me into the next chapter! And that makes it a win for me. In fact I double checked to make sure that I highlighted a funny line for myself to rr in the future!

It’s giving a very cozy warm apple cider sipping near a window, wrapped up in a halloween blanket type of feeling. With Gilmore Girls playing and a pumpkin pie candle lit in the background. Does that not just scream cozy to you!?! It was such a therapeutic read and I generally couldn’t stop smiling during the mushy parts that Fin would have with his aides.

Now that the calm part of my review is over. Can I just say that…

MR. FIN IS SO HOT IN MY HEAD

LIKE I WAS SO ANNOYED WHEN A YNW SCENE CAME UP AND ALL THE GOOD STUFF WAS SKIPPED!!!!

As a die hard smut reader, it really hurt my horndog heart to not get any action. But I guess that’s what our imagination is for.

Anywhoo, you should add this book to your fall book list!!
