Well the spice really spiced, so there’s that.
First off, the story had the bones and meat for much more than a little novella, so I wish the author had expanded it into a full sized novel.
I think what bothers me about this series is how the omegas are completely stripped of any agency. I know it is written that submission is embedded in their DNA. But it’s hard to believe that the FMCs, who are all really strong, intelligent and independent women, just submit to their alphas with very little resistance.
Also, I still had a hard time empathizing with Triss after what she did to Raven. Even with her transformation into a freedom fighter, she never reflected on how her actions impacted Raven - only how they impacted herself.
Not sure if I’ll end up reading the final book in the series. I will say it’s very well written which makes me want to look up more books by the author.
