I think this was one of my first books that I've read that dives deep in the Korean Joseon period that mixed with mystery elements as well as a subplot of a romance that's not the main focus on the story.I'm pleasantly surprised by how the story unfolded! Definitely worth reading it~

I feel like I’m being gaslit by all these positive reviews. I felt no emotion or investment in this story at all. It was simply okay

Could've benefited from being longer. The romance and the politics weren't well developed, and the mystery wasn't very intriguing.
