This was *chef kiss*!! All the suspense and secrecy, I loved it. This was a bloody read, there was a lot of violence and it had me gasping when something unexpected happened. I enjoyed it a lot!! The romance though?? It wasn’t a main focus at all, but I just loved Hyeon and Eojin’s dynamic, eeee!! The ending was suspenseful and a great wrap up. 4.5 stars! ❤️

Seru banget!! Rasanya nggak bisa berhenti baca, karena kalo ditinggal, kayak sayang gitu. Bikin penasaran juga. Dan ternyata, Putra Mahkotanya beneran ada di dunia nyata.

Good for historical mystery, tapi jangan expect to blow your mind, so so good and i love Hyeon and Eojin so much.

Alurnya terasa lambat buatku, butuh 5 hari buat nyelesain ini karena memang dasarnya ga suka hisfic apalagi buku ini banyak istilah asing dan foot note nya dikit bgt???! Dan kalimat nya banyak bgt yg kepotong editornya ngantuk apa gimana dah.

The book takes place in 1758 joseon era, a young palace nurse and a police inspector team up to investigate the murders. Not a fan of historical fiction but really liked the cute romance.

4.5/5 stars.

Spoilers for historical fact and not wanting to ruin the book.

Spoiler I honestly thought this book would end with the prince's death and I was curious how the author would have pulled that off. But I do like that the author's note explains that while he suffered from mental illness, that doesn't excuse his actions. Crown Prince Sado is such an interesting historical figure to me, will probably pick up his wife's book sooner or later.

Absolutely fabulous. Thank you, Edelweiss, for the ARC.

Update: Yep, still a favorite.
