June Hur did not disappoint!! Damn, the intricts, politics, investigation and subtle romance melt into one book~ at first, i was like oh.. this nurse is kinda nosy but i get wherr she came from and later on, the reasoning is only getting stronger and i am way amazed how she packed her wit in her brain. So. So good.

ngl based on writing, plot, etc this is probably 4 stars but that bonus epilogue and the way i relate to hyeon is just so personal so im upping it to 4.5 stars
i havent read a book with a good mystery in awhile and i absolutely loved the plot. it was gripping and its fast pace made me not want to put the book down (would have finished it in one day tbh if it wasnt for the fact that i was reading this on a trip). the conclusion was a bit rushed but it didn't ruin the book for me
we need to talk about hyeons character and her relationships because!! im obsessed. i might be a bit biased because i relate to hyeon a bit too much, but shes definitely on my list of best book girls. her complicated relationship with her parents was written perfectly and i was satisfied with the way it was concluded. but my favorite relationship was definitely the one with eojin. their chemistry was so excellent and they served slowburn so good. AND THAT BONUS EPILOGUE omg i love them so much they deserve the world

short but satisfying read 4.5⭐️ great book to get you out of a reading slump! personally wish it was a bit longer tbh coz imo first half >> second half

Loved this! Historical fiction not regency it top notch. I do enjoy Victorian fiction but I love fiction from other countries besides the UK. This is a good mystery that I did not figure out who did it till the characters did. the character development and relationships were fully fleshed out. If you watch K dramas this has mini aspects of which are sweet and had me rooting for our team of investigators.

Rounded up to four stars. More interested in the history that the book is based off of then the book itself unfortunately. None of the characters felt particularly fleshed out, but still was an enjoyable read. Goodreads give me a half star please.
