FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE AUTHOR. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

Due to unforeseen disasters in my home, it has taken me quite a while to read this story, even though the author was kind enough to offer it to me in the midst of my troubles. Coming back to the series now that things are a bit more settled felt a little like it did when we first came back home: comfortable and a little predictable. However, I had a few issues with the book that kept me from enjoying it more.

Rosemary's story was an interesting one, but I didn't care for her attitudes about a lot of things. She had a lot of self-image issues, and I didn't like how she treated things with Cleo, especially since she came across as more than a little selfish because of it. I found it difficult to believe that Harrison could fall in love with Rosemary off of so little positive interaction, and so quickly once he got his second chance. The sub-plot involving Mike seemed very far-fetched, especially with the involvement of the senator. It really seemed like no investigation into that had been done at all, which just didn't ring true for me!

All the issues aside, this was a quick and easy read for me, one that I did enjoy despite its faults and flaws. I'm hopeful for the next book in the series!
