how different the novel actually is from the tv series from 2023. this novel surprised me in many good ways. i am glad it had a happy ending.

It bothers me that I could tell the difference in the writing from when Wharton ended and the other began. I liked the beginning of the book better. Overall, I thought it was a good and interesting story. I love the tv show so I wonder how much I would’ve liked the book if I had not seen the show first. Although the book and show are very different from each other.
