I listened to this on audio, which is narrated by Tom, which made it very fun! He's very charismatic, funny and genuine. Hearing his perspective about this world he lives, the talented people he's worked with, how he's grown through it, and what he's taken away from it all was very cool! The need to hold on to normality seems to be a common denominator of child celebrities and it makes me sad that people don't allow them to have it. I know that it comes with the job, but I wish people would use meet and greets and such to fan out, and the leave the rest alone.

I wasn't expecting this memoir to make me feel overly emotional, haha! I thought I'd enjoy it, and find it interesting, but Tom's thoughts and memories shared were very vulnerable and sweet. It gives us an unique insight to a world that is so special to so many. I was a kid growing up at the same time the characters were, I counted down the days for the midnight showings and stood in line overnight for the books. I've always been a sucker for a unique storyline that can take you to a well built fantasy world, I grew up a Disney kid, so I loved Potter from the start and have continued to well into my adult life, and now find it such a special thing that I'm mid 30's and able to share this fun and special world with my son.

Book was a solid B. It was fun learning some “inside baseball” about Harry Potter - and I liked the mental health talk at the end. (Audiobook)
