so good-- in the writing and the story telling and a great piece on the realities of trying to break out of poverty and all the realities that inhibit that. I'm a Stephanie Land fan-- and was when I watched Maid years ago, too.

I was so impressed with maid I was excited to read class

However sophomore slump is real

This book was horrible

I wanted to stop reading a 1/3 of way through

I know plenty of single moms and this writer is nothing like them

Wish her all the best but I will not be spending my well earned money on future books without a huge awakening by the author

Good book. Well done. I’ll refrain as always from reviewing any further, knowing how hard it is to get a second book into the world. But one thing: the prof who says “babies don’t belong in grad school” is one of too many examples of tenured women who are a toxic plague on academia, using their position to police those of us who are already made to feel we don’t belong because of our financial position. You fought the good fight, Ms. Land.
