Book Bingo 2024 - Housing / Poverty Justice
I plowed through this one a lot faster than Maid, maybe because I already felt connected to these characters/people, especially from the 2021 Netflix adaptation, which was stunning. The craziest thing is that the end of Maid felt like such a happily-ever-after that it’s sort of gut-wrenching to know that a lot only got worse for Land’s situation from there. Luckily the author’s Instagram shows the light at the end of the tunnel and how far all of their lives have come from the events of this “relentless” (her word) story.

I hope this book earns Stephanie Land a small fortune! Good for her, breaking so many barriers, defying the powers that be, and being relentless toward her goals for herself and her daughters. Well written and full of information I'm glad to have.
