Fun book and mostly positive and humorous about a fairly sad topic. Descriptions of places visited are understandably a bit dated now. I was able to read this in both Bill Bryson’s voice or in Peter Jones’s voice.

Brilliant, but tragic - at least two of the species in this book have since gone extinct.
