Awesome second book for the series. I loved how the guys not just the girls were insecure. Funny sexy heartwarming. Loved it. I like how in this book it had more to do with the rest of cold creek and the family their. Loved Bree cub fix. 5stars.

Still good the second time around. I really enjoy this series and the authors writing. Okay yes it can be overly sweet in some places but it works.

Another awesome book by Cherise Sinclair. She is fast becoming a must read and auto-buy author for me. (And I don't have many of those!) Love the set up and the heroine was awesome. I loved the end, when she came into her own and fought for her place in the pack. You go girl! ;D I'm sad there aren't any other books in this series, but here's hoping to more in the future!

*This book was a self purchase. All opinions are my own.*

Spice Rating: 5 out of 5 ==> this book is not for those that need a clean romance.  Be Warned.

This is the second installment of the Wild Hunt Series by Cherise Sinclair and OMG what a difference from the first book in not only action and pace but overall depth.

(Note: The first book was wonderful.  It was a great springboard to jump start her shifter series, it just lacked a lot of depth.  Definitely worth reading though - I have read it many many times.  AND it is about the Cosantir... MEOW...)  ;-)

About the Book:  Bree in the beginning of the book is attacked and assaulted by a creature of nightmares.  Her foster sister is killed in the attack and Bree decides to leave the city for a little while to go on the hunt to find out more about her parents using the only thing she has:  a picture.  The attack in the city leaves Bree afraid of large men of which she is forced to directly interact with when she rents a place from the Lodge which is run by brothers: Zeb and Shay.  Zeb and Shay are cahir's (warriors chosen by God) kicked out of their original territory and find their way to Cold Creek where they are -- to their surprise -- welcomed.  The story development takes on several layers:  Bree pushing past the attack and her fears of men, Zeb pushing past society being scared of him, and Shay learning to overcome bad decisions in his past.

Female Lead:  While Bree has every right to be a weak character (which a lot of us readers hate), she  actually isn't.  She brazenly bucks the authority of the Cosantir a few times and it doesn't seem to faze her...... even if the consequence of disobeying the Cosantir's orders could mean her death.

Quote: "The penalty for bring attention to the Daonain is death, sentenced by Cosantir's judgement, dealt by a cahir's hand.  Do not force your lovers to kill you, Breanne," Calum said softly.

Character Development is at its best in this book.  Backstory's that the first book lacked was given in the second book.  The book reveals what each main character has experienced in his/her past to make them who they are now and provides reasoning to what comes about in the book.  Can't go any further without revealing spoilers.

Story Development is so concise, well thought out, and paced perfectly.  As soon as I finished the book, I wanted to go back and read it again.

There were several moments in this book that had me gasping and closing the book to digest what had just happened.  The spicy moments made me swoon while tugging at my heart at the same time.....
Shay works with Bree directly to help her overcome her fear of sex with a man.
Books like this make a reader come back over and over again not only for new books but to revisit the books we have already read.

Thank you Cherise!
