This book is.....captivating. I really struggled to get into Powerless, but once I was in, i was IN. But this book, thiiiiis book had me by my collar the entire day. I dont know if I'm ashamed or proud to say I read it in one day. Reckless is a bouquet of emotions and i was here for all of it. I just really wanna say, im SAT and on the edge of my seat with the building tension between Kai & Pae...plz let there be fawkin' in Fearless for gods sake !!!!!!

Loved Powerless, so I'm sad to say this sequel was a let down. I got SO frustrated with Paedyn's constant "I hate him!" and "I'm gonna kill him!," etc.- like GIRL please kindly stfu already. This was yet another book where the frustration could've been avoided if they just had a conversation. E.g., "things happened, can we move past it and join forces or nah?" Like, do people really lie to themselves this much? I find it hard to believe. It's one thing to be like, "man, I know I shouldn't want him but I do," but being like "I despise him and he's my enemy" when she really wants him is wild to me. Then, at some point, they were just in love again? Huh? Kai had me cringing a bunch too, like dude is so whipped and idk why anymore bc Paedyn wouldn't stop bitching. Whew. Anyways, I hope Kitt gets a happy ending! Thank goodness Powerful has been better so far.

Takes place right at the conclusion of the first book. Through this book we learn more about the back story of each of the two main characters. The plot is not quite as strong in this installment, but it is a fast fun read and sets everything in motion for what I hope to be an exciting conclusion in book 3.

Definitely a weaker book than the first. Plot wise it didnāt feel like a whole hell of a lot really happened, though we got some progression with the relationship between Kai and Pae. I still enjoyed it, still found it cute in a lot of places, but had quite a few moments in the book where I just wanted more to happen. We end on a cliffhanger (sort of), though one I canāt say makes a ton of sense given the glimpses of Kitt we saw in this book. It definitely didnāt feel like a ābuildingā book the way most second books in trilogies areā¦
