Title: The Kiss Quotient

Author: Helen Hoang

Series: The Kiss Quotient #1

What to expect:

*Asperger’s representation

*Escort MMC

*Sex lessons

Pros:

I love books that feature women in STEM careers! Typically it’s in the science field, this FMC was in the math field and is very successful in her career. Having the MMC in the fashion/design field was also very fun!

Cons:

The MMC is an escort and the FMC has the internal thought that he has been sexually been with hundreds of women based off of the number of dates/clients he had. He never admitted to how many women he had been with but that number just grossed me out. MMC does not go out with any clients after he meets the FMC.

Safety:

No real OW/OM drama, does include parental abandonment and a parent with cancer. Does have a needless third act breakup that was simply there for dramatic purposes only and could have been resolved by a having a conversation. FMC went on a date with OM during the breakup but nothing happened between them.

Format: Libby audiobook

Genre: Contemporary fiction, romance

Characters: Stella (FMC) & Michael (MMC)

definitely the best one in the series. i love the representation in this book and how patient and sweet he is with her. it felt very raw and real, no notes.

Cute! An inverse pretty woman from an interesting and important perspective.
My only issues: clearly they both need therapy, the miscommunications toed the line of painful & hypocritical moments around dominance/consent are irksome!!
medium-paced

it wasnt terrible. i dont no when it was, but I remember reading somewhere that the main character of this book is demisexual and I could not agree more. i totally agree. it was ok overall. Nothing too crazy
