Love this last book in the Vartanian Trilogy, as with the two previous books it is full of twists and turns that literally had me gripped. Have now reread it numerous times and I still enjoy it as much as I did the first time. Honestly a fantastic conclusion to the series and one I would totally recommend reading.

I just don’t care to continue with this book as it’s dragging, and it feels like nothing is being done.

There are a lot of secrets, and a lot of scenes where not everything is being said, which annoys me because it could help with finding these people.

I stopped at the point where once again Susannah reveals something, but not the whole truth. I just don’t care anymore, because it’s probably going to be that she’ll tell the rest when it’s too late.

It feels like the police aren’t doing much, which is in part because they don’t have much information.

Also, there is someone everywhere who is being paid by these people so that’s going to delay things even more.

I’ll probably continue with this series, but I hope that there won’t be more books where the cases are connected, like these three were, because it just drags.

Loved this book, just as I have all of her books. KR is one of the few authors that has the ability to just suck me into the book.

My first Karen Rose read. The plot is compelling, and I liked the male protagonist. The female protagonist was too stubborn in a cliched way. I didn't enjoy the time stamps; I felt like they distracted me. It was ok, and I would read another from this author to develop a more complete opinion.

This is not a standalone story so it is not recommended you read this before reading (at least) the two immediately preceding books. I still strongly urge reading the entire series in order as related characters pop up throughout.

The story begins sometime near the end of the last story, running parallel to when Daniel and Alex first discovered the nightmare bunker. I was thrilled to get Susannah and Luke's perspectives as they neared the site and discovered Bailey and "Jane Doe." What ensued was the wildest reading ride I've had in a long time.

No one seems to be who they first appear to be and almost everyone has either a tragic history or private agenda. I actually became overwhelmed by the sheer weight and volume of the revelations. This was the first time in this series I felt the romance took a big back seat to the mystery/suspense. But, I loved Luke and his family and what they brought to his relationship with Susannah.

Incredible story with an intricate plot in a diabolical town. Now they just need to level Dutton, Georgia and start all over.
