So bittersweet to see Rafiel brought back this way. But what a wonderful story. Finally Ms Marple taking center stage. Pity it's the second last book in the series.
Of course, there's a healthy scoop of slut shaming and racism for the era. I've read enough Christie to glaze over it but it's very present and unapologetic.

This book could have been 50-100 pages. Lots of going over the same ground. Add in the sexism and racism and it's a no from me.

Audiobooks are really a different experience. It highlights the repetitiveness of passges (unintentionally), and since it’s being narrated in a normal speaking speed, it also unintentionally highlights how nothing happens for a long time—something that could’ve escaped one’s notice if they were reading at a faster space.
Christie has always had characters with different point of views, from misogynists to sexists to feminists. Normally, this doesn’t bother me because it’s a reflection of the world—not everyone is open-minded, not everyone believes in equal rights (sadly). It did make me uncomfortable, however, when the titular POV character is the racist.
Overall, it was an okay mystery, if extremely slow and quite repetitive.
