Great book. Similar to the movie. Some parts are a little slower, just work through it. It's worth it!

I love this story so, so much. 
A good-written, and - for me - nostalgic read from when I saw the movie a few years back. And I have to say, the movie did a phenomenal job. This might be the first film-adaptation ever that really translated the book to an equally good movie. This coming-of-age story is unlike others I've read, but in its simplicity a touching story came through. 
Highly recommend.
