This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Narration was pleasant enough. I just didn't feel any real chemistry between the characters and I don't get the fork thing. I read this stuff all the time so it's not for lack of understanding, lol.

Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I found the story ok. I liked Sophie and understood her need and craving for attention after the marriage that she's had, but I did find it difficult to believe how easy she found it to follow the Dom just through e-mails and Skype chat. But than again it gave her anonymity so I suppose that really does make it easier.

Yes the forks were weird but this is BDSM so anything goes right?

I felt the Dom was pretty hot. He took Sophie as she was and was interested in her as a person rather than an object, which made me like him more.

This is nice romance with the added spice of some hot scenes.

I’m genuinely upset that this was the first book I read this year. Two stars because it was a great concept and I did finish it. However, the main character was terribly annoying. There was so much telling rather than showing in this book and considering the content that’s just awful. There was literally a scene where she says something along the lines of “I did what he said and came a few times and then went to sleep”. Like, what? Also, at one point during a smut scene, the narrator references her toes as “piggies”. It nearly made me close the book.

Also, I’m always hear for insta-love but this was a bit much.

I received a copy from NetGalley.

Stuck on around a 3.5 rating because at times the BDSM made me uncomfortable, but that's all personal taste. I'm not a fan of objects inserted into the body that aren't manufactured for that purpose, including cream containers or whatever it was, and panties. No, I personally think it's a little irresponsible, but if she got off on that sure.

This isn't for readers who can't handle a more serious BDSM story. I did t realise just how serious it would be, but it was pretty full on.

I feel there was some fluffed type scenarios but in the end it sort of all made sense to be there as it felt more like a one of those ones about figuring out who you are more than just the erotica. She basically spends the whole story growing as a woman sexually and emotionally with MC (his real name is so not sexy) and it does end up being romantic even though all the way through I didn't think it would be.

It feels a lot more like its about her growth even if she's falling for him, we can't see him falling for her until the VERY end as he's super closed off. By the very end I mean the last 90-95% so it's not hearts and flowers it's 100% erotic and maybe not for everyone, but for a BDSM erotica I'd say it was great for what it was, loved the online element too.

Sophie is in a terrible marriage and is about to become divorced. Her husband was been cheating on her for a long time, only she isn’t sure how to end things because ending things is so final. To her it was giving up without trying.

I myself would have been like pack your bag! That’s just me.

She was looking for something new in her life and she got to thinking about online dating but without the dating and just the fantasy of it all.
And interaction from a night out with her girlfriend she stumbles in to light BDSM and it got her thinking.

She feels like a submissive, and find herself searching she comes across a website where a Dom can train her via the internet this felt like something she was interested in. This way she can stay more anonymous especially with her job as a Kindergarten teacher and very straight laces parents.
I don’t think Sophie or her MC was expecting to have true feeling for each other.
I enjoyed this peak in to the BDSM world it was fun and fresh not dark or seedy. Worth the listen I say.

Sophie's husband has been cheating on her and when the time comes to divorce she knows she must follow through. The idea of dating and getting out there though haunts her and when a random meeting introduces her to the life of submission she finds herself looking up anything and everything she can online. When she finds online submissive training she's so intrigued by it that she can't turn it down. The Dom on the other side of the line is creative, he's bossy, and he's got her doing anything he says. Online may not be enough though and when they take the leap to do a session in person anything could happen.

I've been delaying writing this review, because in the end my rating came down to personal preference entirely. I read the entire book, so it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't necessarily right for me. The writing is great, the creativity totally kept my attention, but the general premise of it threw me off. I get online relationships, 110% actually, but how this one played out just...confused me. Sophie is both this quiet teacher and at this same time a submissive freak, awesome, but it didn't make sense. She was so worried about her career and her image, but she was doing things, in public, that I just couldn't actually see her doing. The stuff at home, in hotels, absolutely, but on a car? No. I really liked that the submission to the man over the internet and the phone was super unique, especially the creative methods the Dom used, and how their relationship played out, but the connection didn't feel like it was there. Plus, I didn't expect to be reading emails from the characters the entire novel, I got so bored! I really just wanted to see them in real life acting all this out, so maybe less time online chatting and more time doing these visits. Of course, there's a sequel where I can go get what I want, but I'm just not sure I will.

Very on the fence with this one, it's just unlike anything I've read before and totally threw me off.

3⭐️ from me. This is a me problem and not a book problem. I had expected more relationship in this book. Go in to it knowing it’s 90% spice and you will love it. With the minimal personal relationship or discussion outside of the 🌶️ when the couple does get together I just didn’t feel the love and connection. I like a nice blend and this one was a little much for me. I’m planning to continue the series though because now that they are together I’m hoping to see the personal relationship blossom to match that of their love life.

Honestly, I'm really trying to figure out why I finished this audiobook. Now, I love smut and I don't mind crass language but this book took it to a whole new level. The mix of infantile words with vulgar dirty talk was weird and out of place. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind smut but I really do want a plotline and character growth. Unfortunately, this book just fell flat. There was not really a plot nor did I feel any connections to the characters. Half the time I just rolled my eyes and the other half I cringed at the narrator's version of MC's gravely voice. The narrator wasn't bad but I was not that impressed.

All in all, this is a cheap romance that definitely didn't make me want to continue the series.

DNF. Received this ARC in exchange for a fair review. I'm not providing a ranking, because I couldn't finish it.

First, it's pretty hardcore. Second, there's absolutely nothing from the "hero's" viewpoint. He could be a man. Or a cat. On the Internet, no one would suspect you're a cat.

It wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, but I was surprised how not-light the bdsm part was. Usually there's a little bit of spanking and that's it. Here the reader gets for example fork-play.

I was hoping for more details about the online training, since most novels are about live 'training'. Sadly most solo scenes are mere retellings and rather short, too. More about Sophie's feelings would have been appreciated. Instead it felt a little bit rushed. It gets better when they move on to phone sessions at least.

I had some problems with the language (not the dirt talk, mind you). So much 'clit humming' (I never heard humming used that way before, too) and so much 'that clit/pussy etc.' as well. I was tempted to count how often it was used, to be honest.

The end was very predictable and unrealistic as well. So... romance? Not really. Erotica? Yes.

I still was interested in the story and I may read the next installments as well.
